Greater Victoria Animals' Crusaders and The Victoria Pride Society are proud to announce the Whiskers and Wags/ Big Gay Dog Walk 111 June 7th between 11 and 3pm in Beaver Lake at the Picnic Shelter.
This is a fundraising event and a celebration of which Citizen Canine and many others will be part of. Together, we welcome you!
The Canine Good Neighbour Fun Test is an opportunity to try 12 situations you commonly find yourself in with your dog. Dog behaviorists will take you through the course and offer helpful insights and suggestions. This test is for fun and for free; you keep your test results. Donations are always gratefully accepted.
In addition, our table will have other information available including what pet owners need to know in the event of earthquake or other disaster; what's new on the Rental Front, and the many other things we are doing.
Come on out for a fun day. Hope to see you there!

We are priivileged to have Janet Parker, CPDT, and Jane Beauchamp, CPDT, as CGN Fun Test Evaluators at this event, Jenn.
A number of Trainers and Behaviorists volunteer their time and expertise to this interactive educational program, Jenn. We don't ask that these people to commit to evaluating at every CGN Fun Test. Rather, we are considerate of their availability - among other things.
Thanks for asking!

Thanks
I've never heard of Jane before - who/where does she train?
What form of training does she practice?
I've heard great things about Janet. _________________ Jenn |

Come on out to the event, Jenn. We would love to have you and your dogs come through the CGN Fun Test. At the same time, you can introduce yourself to people working hard to provide the general dog owning public with practical tips that will benefit them and their pet.
On the side, we welcome the opportunity to have any dog trainer onboard to help promote the CKC Canine Good Neighbour Program. If you are a a new trainer, and would like to learn more about the CKC CGN Program or would like experience working with dogs and their people, we welcome your help too!

Congratulations to all of the handlers and dogs that came registered in the CGN Fun Test at the Whiskers and Wags/ Big Gay Dog Walk!
About 25 dogs and their people took part in the Canine Good Neighbour Fun Test. Everyone picked up some great insights regarding the understanding/ relationship they have with their pet, and they had fun with their dog through the course too!
A very special thank you to Jane Beauchamp, CPDT of The Noble Hound (727-2565) and Janet Parker, CPDT of Clever Canine for sharing time and expertise so freely today. Your positive perspectives and easy to apply suggestions were greatly appreciated! Thank you for making this Fun Test a meaningful educational experience, and such a pleasure for our entire community!

Thank you for setting up the Canine Good Neighbour test for us. Muffin and I went through with Jane. I hadn't thought of practical ways to use basic obedience commands before. Now I see why these are so important.
Thanks again to those working in this educational group. We also enjoyed the treats in our doggie gift bag.
